Our Work

Every client on this page trusted BRComm with something that mattered.

We don’t take every engagement. We take the ones where we can deliver something real — and where the stakes are high enough to make senior-level counsel worth it. What follows is a record of that work.

ENTERTAINMENT — TALENT PR

Kerwin Thompson

Emmy Award. National Gold ADDY Award. 947,000 impressions.

When Kerwin Thompson appeared in the UAB men’s basketball team’s 2021-22 hype video, BRComm was there to help amplify what followed. By June 2022, that commercial had earned both an Emmy and a National Gold ADDY Award — one of only 52 recipients selected from more than 25,000 entries nationwide. BRComm helped connect Kerwin’s work with audiences who would remember it, generating 141,100 Twitter views and 26,144 engagements across platforms.

Services provided: Talent PR, media amplification, social strategy

ENTERTAINMENT — INDEPENDENT FILM PR

OBE Studios — Barry & Jasmine Brewer

Cannes-credentialed filmmakers. Ongoing brand and campaign support.

Barry and Jasmine Brewer came to BRComm with credentials already earned — including recognition at the Festival de Cannes — and a vision to build OBE Studios as a home for cinema that resonates across generations. BRComm supports their ongoing brand communications, helping them connect their work with the audiences who need to hear their stories. Current campaign: The Flight Before Christmas, a holiday film celebrating family, hope, and the magic of believing.

Services provided: Brand communications, campaign strategy, audience development, ongoing PR partnership

ENTERTAINMENT — FESTIVAL PR

?Enough! — 78th Festival de Cannes

Independent film featured at one of the world’s three most prestigious film festivals.

Getting a film to Cannes is an achievement. Getting the right people to see it there is a communications challenge. BRComm supported the ?Enough! team’s presence at the 78th Festival de Cannes — one of only three festivals that defines what international independent cinema looks like.

Services provided: Festival strategy, media relations, press materials, Cannes positioning

NONPROFIT — STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS

National Urban League & Young Professionals Network

PR and communications support for one of America’s most recognized civil rights organizations.

The National Urban League has been advocating for economic empowerment and civil rights for over a century. BRComm provided strategic communications and PR support for both the national organization and its Young Professionals network — navigating the particular challenge of mission-driven communications where authenticity and precision matter equally.

Services provided: Strategic communications, PR support, media relations

Communications at the intersection of policy, media, and public trust.

BRComm has provided PR and communications support for elected officials navigating some of the most complex communications environments that exist — where message precision, media relationships, and community accountability all operate simultaneously.

LITERARY PR — BOOK LAUNCH & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Francis Ray

Supporting a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author bring her work to the audiences it deserved.

Francis Ray was one of the most beloved voices in African American romance fiction — a native Texan, a Texas Woman’s University distinguished alumna, and a writer whose work consistently earned a place on the country’s most prestigious bestseller lists. BRComm supported her in book launch strategy and product development, helping bring her storytelling to the readers who were waiting for exactly what she had to say. She gave the TWU winter commencement address in 2010. She is deeply missed.

Services provided: Book launch strategy, product development, author PR

A number of BRComm’s engagements — particularly in crisis communications, reputation management, and executive counsel — are held in strict confidence at the client’s request. These engagements are not listed here.
