Hope This Helps:

We can’t see the future. The inability to see the future makes me extremely anxious at times. My spiritual beliefs tell me things will work out, but there are times I just can’t see it.

From the moment a test begins, I tend to hunker down and work my way out. Ironically, the “working out” includes part my work and part divine intervention and overall unimaginable possibility.

Last night we wrapped our annual report for NULYP. That means that I’ve had to review our quantifiable success and failure for the year 2014-2015. Looking for data and images made me realize some pretty interesting things.

1. God is amazing!
2. I’ve spent a lot of time with my family.
3. I’ve taken periodic health and sanity breaks.
4. My daughter is indeed a rock star!
5. Although tests have been constant, “I’s still here.” (And I’m better.)

Yes, we’ve achieved a great deal. We’ve raised $2.5 million over the last four years for the NUL movement and just missed our volunteer service goal of 200,000 hours. We’re terrible at maintaining contact information, yet still actualized a conference I’ve dreamed about. The list of accomplishments is ridiculously long and the challenges still keep me up at night. And along the way, I’ve had unimaginable adventures and life-changing encounters.

So if you are in the midst of trying to see the future, put your head down and get to work. Trust God will do the rest. And review the past year of your life with gratitude. You’re going to be alright.
