Hope This Helps:

This morning, I put on my comfy but attractive clothes and spent a little extra time lining my lips and applying one of my fave lip shades. No specific agenda for the day was laid out, except to grab breakfast and head to church.

Church is likely the reason for the extra care with my makeup, so there’s no retouch for service. As I headed in to the restaurant, the host examined my face and kindly exclaimed, you are so beautiful. BTaken aback by her comment, I smiled thankfully and focused on getting seated and avoiding any other remarks about my appearance.

What I should have said was, “So are you.” She absolutely was, yet I was so uncomfortable with hearing the statement, I just didn’t respond.

I learned two things:

1. Embracing and celebrating my own beauty is still a challenge even though I am intentional in creating it.
2. Sharing our recognition of the beauty in others is a great practice, whether they can receive it or not.

Tell someone they are beautiful today from your heart.

I asked to grow and God said, here you go. So I hope my growth helps you.

XO,

Brandi
