Day 4

I really need to unpack this bag.  It is not only a tripping hazard, but it is messing with the zen of my space.

First board meeting down.  These people are talented!  It will be my job to ensure their talent is maximized in support of the National Urban League.  Now, that is pressure.

I was asked to share my nickname from the Taylor Administration by the inquisitive RVP Badger.  So I reluctantly asked President Taylor for it.  Drum roll please…

Bell South

The mouth of the south.  Evidently all that came out of my mouth was about the South.  Well I will own that because if nothing else, I am a great advocate.

So now I’ll be Bell NULYP! 

Highlights…

  • It’s the weekend!  Downtime with family and friends and church!  Recharging the batteries is essential. 
  • Sponsorship conversations with YUM! and more scheduled for next week.  Shout out to P&P Chair Thomas for taking lead on our development package this week and ERVP Thomas for taking lead on a sponsored webinar initiative.  Shout out to the entire board for a great meeting and identifying their plans for the coming 2 years!
