As I speak to chapter leaders about their leadership challenges, the biggest barrier to success is not their vision or their drive but their ability to influence action in others.  Often times it isn’t resources, but the ability to get a group of people to move in one direction together.

The struggle to arrive there together builds your leadership muscles in ways you may not realize until or care to experience.

I now know the pinnacle of leadership is when those you lead can perform exceptionally without you.  It is a beautiful thing to witness.  And it allows you to go to bed on time.
